As far back as I can remember, I’ve been a creative type of person. Art has always been my favorite subject and being surrounded with art supplies and a project or two has always made me happy. I’ve taken many classes over the years.

I started working with ceramic tile the early 90’s. It started in a little lake cabin outside of Austin. Living at the coast now, inspiration comes from the sea and our beautiful, salty surroundings. Going away from our area and into different scenery is also inspirational.

I learned how to use tile cutting tools and my mosaic journey continued. When I start a mosaic, it is a commitment. Once the first tile gets placed, I’m in it for the long haul. Now, the projects are smaller. I still enjoy working in mosaic, as well as creating Lazy Susans and wall art from wood. The newest art form that I'm experimenting with is canvas painted floor cloths. Always something to learn in the art world.
