I started my artistic journey later in life.  My whole family can draw but my drawing abilities leave much to be desired.  I was “encouraged” by a friend to try pottery.  Much to my surprise I found my niche and that I do have some artistic ability.  I mostly make wheel thrown, functional pottery but venture into hand building, too.  My greatest joy is trying different glazes and glaze combinations to create one-of-a-kind pieces that can enrich their user’s everyday life.  Opening the kiln to see what the kiln gods delivered is always a special occasion!
